Introduction to Mode Network

Mode is an EVM L2 built on the OP stack. Mode focuses on application and user growth, with enshrined mechanisms to incentives and reward developers, users and protocols to scale the ecosystem.

Mode Network Joins the IBC Network via Polymer Hub

Polymer Hub is a rollup built for interconnectivity. It brings the Cosmos SDK together with the OP stack to connect various Ethereum rollups with each other – becoming the networking layer for the verifiable internet of rollups.

All rollups have an inherent connection in common – they settle on Ethereum. Polymer Hub builds on this connection to read and validate rollup transactions directly from Ethereum, unlike traditional interop providers.

By integrating with Polymer Hub, Mode participants can communicate with other rollups via Polymer Hub’s connections, with zero additional infra overheads.

The Way Forward For Polymer and Mode

Polymer and Mode share a common vision: scaling Ethereum with an application-centric roadmap. Mode is weaving together cutting-edge DeFi applications aiming to create unique yield opportunities. Mode intends to enable AI agents which will help users more seamlessly navigate the application layer, using end objectives and goals to access yield opportunities. This holistic approach aims to bolster Mode’s position as the DeFi hub of the Superchain.

Polymer too, believes in an application-first future, where every app will have its own execution environment. Developers can spin up their own application-specific rollups with Monomer SDK, and use Polymer Hub to connect with the wider Ethereum and Cosmos ecosystem.

Such strong complementary synergies makes us very excited and optimistic about the future of Ethereum – an infinitely scalable ecosystem powered by Polymer Hub and Mode Network.
